Yakura
Custom software, with AI built in

Your business doesn’t work like everyone else’s.Your software shouldn’t either.

We build software around how your business actually runs — the spreadsheet three people fight over, the job sheets in the van, the thing only one person knows how to do. And we build today’s AI into it from the start, so it earns its keep instead of sitting in a press release.

Yakura Custom Software
The problem

Most businesses don't run on software. They run on workarounds.

Off-the-shelf tools make you change how you work to suit them. The gaps get filled with spreadsheets, group chats, paper and memory — and every one of those gaps is where jobs get lost.

On one side, seven scattered tools — a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group, paper job sheets, an email inbox, a whiteboard, sticky notes, and one person who just knows — tangled together with crossing lines. On the other, a single application replacing all of them.

How it could run

AI, actually applied

Don't get left behind on AI — but don't buy the hype either.

Every business is being told to 'use AI' and almost none are told what for. Here's what it genuinely does well inside a tool built for you. It's a feature of your software, not a chatbot bolted to the side of it.

It reads the things nobody has time to read

Inbound emails, job notes, call transcripts, supplier PDFs — sorted, summarised and filed against the right customer before anyone opens them.

It does the first draft of the boring work

Quotes, job descriptions, follow-up emails, weekly reports. Your team edits and approves instead of starting from a blank page.

It answers questions about your own data

“Which customers haven't booked since spring?” — typed in plain English, answered from your records, without anyone building a report.

And where it shouldn’t go. We don’t let AI make the decisions that cost you money — pricing, invoices, anything a customer sees unchecked. It drafts, sorts and suggests; a person approves. We’ll tell you on the call which parts of your problem AI is genuinely good at and which parts are better solved with ordinary, reliable software.

Proof

We don't have a portfolio. We have a store.

Most agencies show you screenshots of work you can't touch. Yakura runs a marketplace of 42 apps that are live right now — you can open one and use it before you ever speak to us. The same team and the same platform build your custom work.

How it works

Four steps, and you can stop after the first one.

No pressure, no lock-in before there's a price on the table, and nothing to pay to find out whether this is worth doing.

  1. 01

    A call

Twenty minutes on what actually happens day to day. Free, and you'll get an honest answer — including “you don't need custom software for this” if that's the truth.

  2. 02

    A written scope

What we'd build, what it does on day one, what it deliberately doesn't do yet, and a fixed price for that. You decide with the whole thing in front of you.

  3. 03

    We build it

You see working software early and often, not a progress bar. Changing your mind while it's being built is normal and expected.

  4. 04

    It runs

Hosted, backed up, updated and supported by us. It's a working tool, not a folder of code handed over with a handshake.

What it costs

Price follows scope.

A one-job tool and a system your whole company lives in are not the same project — so we don't quote either until we know which one you have. A small build is a small fee; a big one isn't. You'll get a fixed price in writing before anything starts, and you'll never get an invoice you didn't agree to first.

One job, one tool

A single thing that's a spreadsheet today, or a paper form, or one person remembering.

A quote builder · a job sheet · a booking form · a stock count

A system my team logs into

Several people with different permissions, and records that live on after the job is done.

Scheduling · client files · approvals · dispatch · reporting

Replace or connect what we already run

It has to talk to the systems you already pay for, and real data has to move across.

Accounting sync · POS or CRM integrations · a migration off legacy software

This is paid work.If you’re after something free, that’s genuinely fine — the store has free apps and you’re welcome to them, no strings. The form below is for businesses ready to pay for a tool of their own.

Five minutes. You'll hear back from a person, usually within one business day.

  • You don't need to know what the software should be.
  • You'll get an honest answer, including if it's no.
  • Nothing is charged and nothing is committed.

Your details
Which of these sounds most like it?Best guess is fine — this is how we know roughly what we’re looking at before we talk.

Plain English beats technical detail. You don’t need to know what the software should be — that’s our job.

Hours, people, or lost work — a rough number is fine. It’s the fastest way for us to tell you honestly whether this is worth building.

We reply to every enquiry we can help with. Submitting an idea doesn’t create a confidentiality or exclusivity arrangement, and we may build similar software for other clients — if your idea needs protecting before you share it, say so on the call and we’ll sign something first. See our Privacy Policy for what we do with your details.
